Well wasn’t that a nice surprise. Connected my iPhone about half an hour ago and low and behold the 1.1.4 update was available.

Can’t seem to find any documentation on the Apple site.

I’m a member of the Apple Developer Connection and there is no sign of the SDK on there!! Strange.

The only release notes state that it fixes security updates, however there are rumours that Jailbroken phones still work.

I’ve had a quick dig around and can’t seem to notice any changes.

Also checked out the iTunes store to see if there were any apps on for the iPhone and again turned up a blank. Very strange!

My guess however is that Apple will want to showcase the iTunes delivery system so rather than include any software updates with the 1.1.4 upgrade will prompt users to download the new apps via iTunes. Hopefully this will happen in the next few weeks/days.

I never stop being amazed by how the rumour mill, will spiral something out of control to the point that every body expects the 1.1.4 update to be something big, when it turns out to be a minor security fix.

Roll on 1.1.5!!
