This post will show you how to use your iPhone as a wireless speaker so that you can stream your iTunes library (or any application) to your iPhone.
(This will only work within Wi-Fi range of your computer running iTunes)
This set is up uses the following:
MacBook (2008 model)
iPhone 3G 8Gb (Jailbroken)
iTunes
Airfoil
Airfoil speakers touch
Remote app
Backgrounder (via Cydia)
To get this to work you will need to Jailbreak your device, if you are scared of doing so – don’t be. There are plenty of posts around to help you. The reason that you need to Jailbreak is so that you can...

Just a quick post to show you a web service that allows you to create and download ringtones for your iPhone. Simply head to http://audiko.net and follow the instructions.

As you can see from the scree shot above, I have created my first iPhone web app. I say web app loosly as it doesn’ty actually do anything apart from tell you about me!!
There is some interactivity however – simply swipe your finger on the screen to move between different frames.
Try it on your iPhone or iPod touch (you need to be running 2.0 or higher).
Go to i.sizzla-media.co.uk
If you’re wondering how it was done – check this out.
As soon as I can be bothered ( and find a need to) I will create a proper working web app that actually does something useful, maybe an optimised...

Just opened up iTunes and recieved a software update to 7.6.1. Could this be in preparation for the new iPhone SDK? According to Apple the update is to:
Rent and download your favorite movies with iTunes on your computer or directly to your living room on Apple TV. Enjoy rented movies in sizes up to 720p HD with surround sound on your Apple TV and sizes up to DVD-quality on your computer. Transfer your rented movies from iTunes to your iPod or iPhone and enjoy them on the go.
Also, purchase and download your favorite TV shows, music, and more directly on your Apple TV. Effortlessly transfer purchases...

This is a post I came across recently by Ben Winsor. I’ll let you read it first before I tell you why he’s talking utter rubbish:
The iPhone is one of the very few tech products that lives up to its hype: and the hype has been massive. The iPhone is so far ahead of the competition that one suspects Apple had help from advanced extra-terrestrials, or that they have a very nerdy demigod working for them.
The iPhone, with its intuitive touch screen user interface and impressive features puts other phones to shame. Choosing a cell phone used to be a matter of picking which compromise is...

Yet another iPhone quick tip. I’ve gone a bit mad on the blog today.
Basically I plugged my iTrip into my iPhone dock connector to see what would happen. A message popped up saying that this device wasn’t compatible. Natrually I ignored it and clicked the iPod button on my iPhone. To my surprise it started playing through my car speakers. 30 seconds in I got a call, and again the call came through my car speakers.
Only downside is that the interferance caused by the iPhone also gets transmitted through the speakers, which can be quite annoying. You could ofcourse put your phone into...

I’ve found a new plugin that enables you to view the SizzlaBlog in a format optimized for your iPhone or iTouch. Simply head to the same address (www.blog.sizzla-media.co.uk) to view it.
If you would like the theme yourself check out the page over at ContentRobot.
There are a few things I need to tweak but everything seems to work ok!!

Now this may seem common sense to a lot of you but when restoring/updating/jailbreaking your iPhone, don’t be as stupid as me and pull out the cable.
Stupid thing to do, but I mistook it for my Mighty Mouse cable (they look identical). The phone went dead and all I could get out of it was the Apple logo. I tried all the restore methods but nothing worked.
Quick trip to the Apple store and the Genius plugged in a different cable with a strange looking device attached. Whatever it was, it did the trick and i’ve now got my iPhone back and working.
Seems that this is what happens to phones...
